Youth Action Northern Ireland presents:

Dialogue at the margins: Feeling different and being different

7 year research findings based on doctoral research by Gail Neill and Martin Mc Mullan

(on behalf of Queens University Belfast & University of Southampton)

This series of four regional research dissemination events will contribute to discussion and application of practice. These findings have specific relevance to local and regional planning for youth work and other related disciplines concerned with the welfare, growth and development of young people.

The themes which will be addressed are:

  • young women: gender, sexualities and identity
  • sectarianism and separation in Northern Ireland

The seminar will be delivered in the following locations:

  • Belfast – 20th May 2015(YouthAction NI, 14 College Square North, Belfast, BT1 6AS)
  • Newry – 29th May 2015 (Bagenal’s Castle, Castle Street, Newry, BT34 2BY)
  • Armagh – 4th June 2015 (YouthAction NI, St Patricks Trian, 40 Upper English Street, Armagh BT61 7BA)
  • Fermanagh – 5th June 2015 (TBC)

Each event will start with a light lunch at 12.30pm with the workshop starting promptly at 1pm and finishing at 4.30pm. Each workshop is limited to 20 places.
