Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership Dungannon locality planning group organised a Volunteer Youth fair in partnership with Volunteer Now, this fair was held on the 20th March 2013 in the Dungannon Youth Resource centre. Over two hundred pupils attended from four local schools in Dungannon. This fair give the pupils an opportunity to find out about volunteering, the benefits of volunteering and what opportunities are available locally in Dungannon. Increasing the number of young people who volunteer in the Southern Trust area is one of the areas set out in the Southern Outcomes Action plan. Thank you to the young people who came along and volunteered at this event and spoke to local pupils about their volunteer opportunities.
