Parenting Apart Programme

The Parenting Apart programme is aimed at parents who have separated, are separating, divorced or thinking of divorce.

The programme will provide practical advice and guidance about what children need to know, and what parents can do to meet their children’s need. Although parents are immersed in their own difficulties, this programme can help parents focus on the child’s needs with the aim of minimising the impact of the separation.

The programme will explore:

Emotional impact
Parenting roles
Changes in relationships
Legalities
Financial impact
Moving on

Commences: 4th March 2019 for 6 weeks
Time: 10am-12pm

Engaging Effectively with Parents Training – February 2019

 

Parenting NI are offering Practitioner Training.

The training aims to build capacity and further enhance existing skills of practitioners to equip them with the skills to support parents and families. 

Topics include

  • Importance of involving parents
  • Benefits of parental participation
  • Model of best practice

Family Support Survey 2018-2019

CYPSP would like to ensure that parents are involved in the design and development of support services for families across Northern Ireland and would value your feedback which will help to inform planning for future services.

The aim of Family Support is to promote and protect health, wellbeing and rights of all children and young people and their families through a range of support services. This can be help within your local community and from family/friends.

Celebrating the Power of Parent Child Relationships this Parenting Week (week commencing 22nd October 2018)

Children’s most important early relationships are with their parents. Positive parent-child relationships are important for all areas of children’s development.

Parenting NI are hosting 2 family fun days, supported by the Northern Childcare Partnership.
