The Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) has received funding from the Early Intervention Transformation Programme (EITP) to implement a Model Concurrent Planning Scheme in all Trusts throughout Northern Ireland supported by a Voluntary Adoption Agency. This is to be known as the Provision of Concurrent Carers for the Home on Time scheme.

Have your say to help improve how complaints are handled in health and social care

The Health and Social Care Board is asking members of the public who live within the Western Health and Social Care Trust area to get involved in helping to improve how complaints are handled in health and social care.
A public focus group will take place in St Columb’s Park House, 4 Limavady Road, Londonderry, on Monday 9 June 2014 at 2pm.

The purpose of the focus group will be to seek the views and opinions of those who have made complaints across the health and social care system since 1 April 2009, or those who wanted to complain, but did not.

The main phone numbers for the Health and Social Care Board, Public Health Agency, and Business Services Organisation in Belfast are changing.  On Monday 28th April 2014 the main switchboard number for these Health and Social Care organisations will change to:

0300 555 0115 – Health and Social Care Board

0300 555 0114 – Public Health Agency

0300 555 0113 – Business Services Organisation

Direct dial in or DDI numbers for directorates within the three organisations’ Belfast offices will also change on Monday 28 April 2014. Details of these new numbers may be provided by staff within the relevant Directorate.
If you have difficulties in contacting an individual directorate, please telephone the appropriate switchboard number (above). Further information is available at

The old switchboard number (028 9032 1313) will cease to be operational from Monday, 28 April, 2014 and callers to that number will receive a pre-recorded message.

Calls to 0300 numbers are charged at a local rate and cost no more than calls to UK numbers starting 01 and 02. They are also included in ‘inclusive minutes’ that apply to call packages with service providers further details on charges to 0300 number is available on the Ofcom website.
