In early 2019, Southern Area Locality Planning introduced a new innovative way of sharing information on the great work of services and organisations striving to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in the Southern Trust area.
With the aim of strengthening contacts, participation, engagement and connections in the region, LPG members, as well as the wider community, are invited to submit flyers, posters & announcements promoting relevant events, opportunities, programmes and initiatives. All of this information is then collated and shared via a one-stop shop style newsletter – ‘FYI’ (For Your Information).
In recent months, ‘FYI’ has been produced and circulated on a weekly basis, so as to keep members, organisations and individuals updated on rapidly changing COVID-19 developments. Now that we have recommenced Locality Planning Group meetings (albeit virtually!), we have reverted back to the newsletter’s original fortnightly frequency.
It has been great to hear about all of the innovative work which organisations have been carrying out across the southern trust area during these challenging times.
