Mental Health Awareness Week – #Take5 & Nurturing Your Child’s Mental Health Through Play

DAILY UPDATE (22nd May 2020)

A major challenge has been thrown our way, in the form of COVID-19, and it is through talking, listening, interacting and playing that children learn to deal with such difficult situations and develop new knowledge and coping skills.

During this Mental Health Awareness Week, take a moment to watch this video, developed by the SHSCT & EA and supported by the PHA, with your family and share your amazing ideas using #Take5.

PlayBoard NI’s Play Matters info. sheet on nurturing your child’s mental health through play discusses the benefits of play for children’s healthy development, happiness, mental health and well-being, and how parents / adults can support children’s play.

Stay safe and stay healthy!
