The Ballyclare Locality group was established in September 2012 and consists of the following areas – Ballyclare North and South, Ballynure, Ballyrobert and Doagh The group is made up of a broad range of community, statutory, and voluntary organisations alongside Councillors with the remit for children and young people in the area. The group aims to improve the outcomes for children and young people through a multiagency planning approach. The locality planning group is an ongoing process of engagement with children, young people and their families.

The Ballyclare LPG is part of the Northern outcomes group

Children and young people living in the Ballyclare and Rural Newtownabbey area have been actively involved in the work of the Ballyclare and Rural Newtownabbey Locality Planning Group. Young people will also take a seat on the selection panel of the ‘See me be Positive’ Youth Awards prior to the Youth Awards event on 26th June 2013.
