GRIT Re-Engaging Youth (GRIT REY) is a new Big Lottery-funded personal development programme aimed at supporting disengaged young people, delivered in partnership between the Gerry Rogan Initiative Trust (GRIT) and Start 360.

v Work with you to seek the right education and training for you
v Boost and support you to improve your personal development
v Gain an accredited qualification
v Allocated a mentor to support you to achieve your goals
v Ongoing and continued support to achieve your right direction
GRIT REY will:
Help young people who are ‘furthest away’ from the labour market to find access to it;
Support young people with multiple disadvantages to fulful their potential, and
Empower young people to re-engage with education, training, employment or community volunteering.
Target groups:
Young people aged 16-20
Young people in Neighbourhood Renewal Areas
Young people leaving care or within the youth justice system
The programme:
Reruitment and selection day
Challenge Week – five day residential
Monthly mentoring over six months
Next steps day for advice and guidance
A new programme will start every two months, alternating between male and female intakes.
