There are so many benefits in encouraging physical activity for under 5’s, such as strengthening bones, muscles and heart, developing movement skills, contributing to learning and brain development, as well as developing self-confidence, communication and social skills. It’s important that both babies and young children are supported and encouraged to move more and limit time spent sitting during time spent at home owing to current coronavirus restrictions.
