Ballymoney Locality – Year 8 Healthy Lifestyles Engagement Pilot (June 2017)

Year 8 pupils in Our Lady of Lourdes School, Ballymoney were involved in a Healthy Lifestyles Engagement Pilot, which was undertaken in partnership with CYPSP, the Northern Obesity Partnership, Public Health Nursing, Northern Trust Dietetics and Causeway Coast and Glens Council.  As part of the pilot, Year 8 pupils had an opportunity to participate in a project with the Traditional Conservation Volunteers, which enabled them to plan and develop their own vegetable beds as well as growing vegetables.  Fourteen Year 8 pupils also had the opportunity to participate in a steering group to ensure user engagement & involvement was central to the project.
