BAAF SPRING CONFERENCE  – Behind the Label: Parenting a child with complex health & development needs

February 2014

This conference aims to address concerns, exploring from both a professional and personal perspective what it is like to parent children diagnosed with a range of complex health conditions which are a frequent feature of the Looked-after population. Adopters and foster carers will “tell it as it is”, sharing their parenting experience and offering useful advice, young people will describe what being labelled feels like for them, and professionals in health, education and psychology will share their expertise in diagnosis and the on-going management of the child’s condition.
