ASCERT Commissioned by Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland to Deliver ACEs Training

 

ASCERT has been commissioned by the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI), to provide training for staff and volunteers working in the community and voluntary sector in Northern Ireland to increase awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and Trauma Informed Practice.

The course is relevant to anyone working with children and/or adults where ACEs may be affecting their health/wellbeing. Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Develop an increased awareness of the potential impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on individuals and communities.
• Develop an enhanced understanding of the impact of Trauma and ACEs on the brain and possible subsequent behaviour.
• Increase their knowledge of emotional health & wellbeing and support pathways for both staff and services users.

This training is FREE and is available in venues across Northern Ireland. Registration for this training can be completed online at the ASCERT website.
