Adverse Childhood Experiences Training

ASCERT is currently delighted to be  working alongside The Safeguarding Board of Northern Ireland to deliver their Adverse Childhood Experiences training. This training is the fourth workstream within the Early Intervention Transformation Programme (EITP).

The EITP is a Delivering Social Change / Atlantic Philanthropies Signature Programme. The training comprises of a 3 hour Level 1 awareness session, 3 hour Level 2 skills-based session, and a 2 day Train the Trainer.

The delivery of the Level 1 is well under way and has been really well received. The delivery of the Level 2 training will commence in September. The Level 2 training is only available for those who have completed the Level 1 course or Karen Treisman ACE training.

The ACEs training is a province wide initiative. The project completes in March 2020 and it is hoped that a legacy of Adverse Childhood Experiences training will continue to up-skill those practitioners working with children and young people who are being impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences.
